The progression to colour came in the discovery of an unusual medium for painting..

Pure Beeswax.

The natural beeswax is mixed with permanent lightfast coloured oils and is then melted and used for painting the Encaustic pictures. The vibrant layers of colour make each one very individual with depth and texture.

The Image Blocks are prints from original designs by Anne McFarlane.
