Profile

As an artist living in Maidens, a small fishing village on the west coast of Scotland, my obvious inspiration comes from the rugged coastline and spectacular sunsets. The changing textures and forces of nature are reflected throughout my work.

Using the beautiful panaromic scenery I introduced a selection of pen and ink line drawings of local scenes and named my new business Fineline. The Fineline prints are hand finished and signed.

The Teddy Celebration pictures were added to the line drawing range for a personal birth or christening gift.

As a self-taught artist, I am a member of several Craft Organisations and exhibit and sell my work all over Scotland.

The progression to colour came in the discovery of an unusual medium for painting…. pure beeswax! The natural beeswax is mixed with permanent, light fast coloured oils and is then melted and used for painting the original Coloured Pictures. The vibrant layers of colour make each one very individual.

The Artisan range of jewellery, silks and cards are the new additions to the range and reflect my love of colour and texture. Each piece is individually designed and hand made.

Every month has its own special flower.These Special Birthday Cards combine an original framed miniature painting of that flower with a hand designed card and presentation box.
